Here are some questions often pondered by newcomers to Real Moments Photography. I’d love to answer any further questions you have, so please email or call me on 0408 801 487.
Where will the photo shoot take place?
I love the outdoors and often it’s the best place for a photographic shoot with older active children. Outdoor settings provide a picturesque, natural backdrop and also give you (and especially your children) the freedom to explore. I can suggest some of my favourite places or if you have a special location in mind, I’m happy to check it out.
For maternity, newborn and babies I prefer to photograph in my studio. It allows us to photograph in a quiet, calm and private environment without worrying about the weather.
What does it cost?
Your session with me is carefully planned and organized in a way that will showcase your family’s unique lifestyle, genuine love and affection. My discovery calls prior to the shoot will help me get to know you more, have a clear understanding on what you envision your photos to be like and determine the most ideal set up for you and your loved ones. We’ll go through the details of the cost together based on what we uncover during consultation. Exact prices will be provided for upfront. For Session Fee click here.
Is it too early to think about where I’ll hang my photographs?
Absolutely not! In fact, it’s a great idea to consider the finished product before the shoot. It’s part of my Discovery Calls with you where in we talk about the artwork size, where you’ll display your wall art and what format – portrait or landscape – will look best in that space. We can definitely collaborate on this, which will influence the type of photographs I take on the day. The more details you give me before the shoot, the more it would lead to the best results.
Do you provide digital imagery?
It’s my aim to provide you with luxury wall art and photographic keepsakes that will last a lifetime – even longer! With this in mind, I retain the digital imagery and take care of the production phase, so you receive a finished product of exceptional quality.
What should I know about copyright?
Simply that I retain the copyright on all photographs captured at your photographic shoot. This means that any reproduction of your photographs is not authorised without my permission.
What is an AIPP Certified Photographer?
AIPP Certified Photographer simply means you’ll be working with an accredited professional photographer. I’ve undergone the stringent accreditation process and satisfied the high standard requirements in my chosen profession. I’m a proud member of the AIPP as an accredited professional. Your photos with me are guaranteed to be personable and professional. Click here for more information about the AIPP.
What should we wear at the shoot?
There are a few hints about clothing that are worthwhile considering. Coordinate colours by choosing a colour theme, but try not to match exactly. I also find darker colours are more flattering. Avoid strong patterns, stripes and logos as these can distract the eye and try to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move effortlessly.
What can we expect from a Beloved-style shoot?
Certainly no pressure and very little posing. Expect a playful time; a time to focus on each other with no distractions. You can also expect the unexpected, because fun games will prompt unrehearsed and amusing antics. Also, allow up to one and a half hours for your shoot.
Can I bring along a special item?
Please do! I highly encourage you to bring along items from your everyday life that make your heart sing! For example, you might bring a guitar, a trumpet or even dancing shoes. Your children might even like to dress up in their favourite costume. Items that are an integral part of your life tell so much about who you are and what you love and that’s what your photographs should capture. Keep in mind that toys, balls and cards can sometimes distract children, so avoid these items if possible.
How are my photographs presented?
At your design and ordering appointment, you’ll view a cinematic presentation of your photographs and also samples of the beautiful wall art. I offer a selection of superior quality products that are not available off the shelf. There are wall art pieces, available framed, as canvases or acrylic pieces, and you can also choose from beautiful art boxes and personalized albums. If you want something outside the square, I have unearthed photographic products that use metal and clear acrylic with stunning results. It really is an exquisite and exclusive collection that I’m proud to offer my clients.
What happens after the photo shoot?
We will meet soon after the shoot at the design and ordering appointment. All decision makers are required to attend to ensure everyone has a say in the final product choice. As it can take up to one and a half hours, it is best for you to make other care arrangements for your children. Choosing your photographs is sometimes the trickiest (and most fun) part, but I’m there to assist your photo selection and design your artwork keeping your home décor in mind. Please note that a 50% deposit is required at this appointment, with the final 50% due one week before pickup of final products. Production begins immediately after your order is placed and you can expect to receive your beautiful artwork within the arranged timeframe.
Can you help with Delivery and Installation?

From conceptualisation, production, post-production, enhancements of the photographs down to delivery and installation at your home, I do them all for you. Absolutely hassle-free.
